Tours — commerce and access

Price tiers

  • Tours can be free or paid. Paid tours use price tiers configured for the organization.
  • Tier amounts are stored precisely for billing (internally as whole-number currency minor units such as cents).
  • In the dashboard, paid tiers appear only when online payments are fully set up for the organization (for example Stripe Connect onboarding completed). Until then, teams typically remain on free tiers or complete payments setup from the organization Payments area.

Checkout experience

  • Guests purchase paid tours through the standard tour checkout flow in the guest app (card presentation depends on your organization's payment configuration).
  • After a successful purchase, the guest should see the tour as accessible without being asked to pay again for the same entitlement.

Marketing or partner-facing documentation should describe commercial terms (fees, revenue shares, payout timing) only from finance- or legal-approved materials. Payment integrations and policies can change over time.

Access after purchase

  • Ownership or entitlement determines whether a signed-in guest can open a paid tour without purchasing again.
  • Confirm visibility (public versus limited access) matches how the tour is meant to be discovered.

Visibility

  • Public tours are meant to be discoverable via shared links and typical guest flows when your publishing rules allow it.
  • Private tours rely on direct links, assignments, or other controlled distribution—confirm guests receive the correct link for their environment (production versus staging or preview hosts).
  • Tours and steps can use short links where enabled, so marketing materials can use memorable URLs while still opening the guest experience.
