Mailing lists
Open Mailing lists in the active organization's Communication group. Modular organizations need the Mailing lists module as well as the relevant role permissions.
Create a list and prepare an email
- Open Mailing lists and select the creation action.
- Enter a name and save. The dashboard opens the new list.
- Open Subscribers and add the intended contacts with email addresses. Review pending versus verified subscription status.
- Open Mails and compose an email.
- Select all subscribers, filter by CRM tags/type/status, or select individual subscribers. Review additions and exclusions; exclusions take precedence.
- Review the sender, recipients, subject, content and attachments, then save a draft or complete the explicit send/schedule action.
Creating a list, adding contacts and saving a draft do not send an email.
Audience resolution and delivery
Each email retains its own audience selection. Scheduled emails evaluate matching subscribers again when delivery begins, so a preview count is an estimate. Only verified, subscribed and deliverable recipients receive the email. Retries keep the audience resolved at the start of delivery.
CRM-based assignments respect the eligible contact/access context. A CRM contact existing in the organization does not automatically mean it is subscribed and deliverable.
Newsletter volume is separate from stored-contact capacity, operational email and the email allowances earned by event invitations. Review the relevant usage in Subscription. Capacity exhaustion can pause unsent recipients; inspect the existing campaign rather than creating a duplicate send.
Check results
- Subscribers shows audience membership and subscription status.
- Mails shows drafts, scheduled messages and earlier sends.
- General contains list settings and delivery statistics for the selected period.
For a missing recipient, check subscription verification, opt-out/suppression state, audience filters and exclusions, then the campaign's delivery status and available allowance.
