Settings overview
The Settings grouping contains organization-level tools that affect billing, event communication, embedded booking or engagement flows, and access management. These pages live under /organizations/:id/* and appear according to the current user's role and permissions.
In the dashboard sidebar the settings group can expose:
| Area | Route | Visibility |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | /organizations/:id/orders | Always part of the Settings group for the active organization. |
| Mail templates | /organizations/:id/mail-templates | Requires event list or read permission. |
| Widgets | /organizations/:id/widgets | Requires event list or read permission. |
| Child organizations | /organizations/:id/organizations | Requires organization admin entity permissions (see permissions reference). |
| Roles | /organizations/:id/roles | Same as child organizations. |
| Promotion material | /organizations/:id/promotion-material | Scoutello platform staff accounts only (cross-tenant), not normal customer users. |
| Invoices | /organizations/:id/invoices | Scoutello platform staff accounts only (cross-tenant), not normal customer users. |
Where Settings Fits
Settings covers organization-level setup rather than day-to-day CRM records:
- Commercial follow-up: orders and invoices help reconcile purchases, ticket sales, tour access, refunds, and billing conversations.
- Event communication setup: mail templates define reusable branded layouts for confirmations, reminders, and manual sends.
- External entry points: widgets package selected Scoutello experiences so they can be embedded on partner or customer websites.
- Hierarchy and access: child organizations and roles define which teams can see or edit records in multi-location or multi-brand setups.
- Platform operations: promotion material and invoices are shortcuts for Scoutello staff, not normal customer-facing settings.
Support Checks
If a user cannot see a settings item, first confirm the active organization and the permission scope behind the sidebar entry. A missing route is usually intentional because the dashboard hides links that the session should not invoke.
For event-related settings, check whether the role includes event:list or event:read. For hierarchy and role management, check for admin entity permissions in the organization role. Promotion material and invoices require a Scoutello platform staff user; organization admin status alone is not enough.
