Widgets
Widgets package Scoutello purchase or engagement surfaces so they can be embedded on external websites while still using Scoutello's event, checkout, and tracking infrastructure.
The organization route is /organizations/:id/widgets. It appears in Settings when the current role has event list or read permission, because widgets commonly expose event registration, ticketing, or related booking surfaces outside the Scoutello guest app.
Where Widgets Fit
Widgets fit cases where the primary entry point is not a Scoutello landing page:
- A venue embeds ticket checkout on its own website.
- A partner page links directly into an event or purchase flow.
- A campaign page needs a compact Scoutello-powered registration surface.
- Support needs to inspect which external funnel generated an order.
Widgets are useful when marketing teams want to keep traffic on an existing site, but operations still need orders, participants, and communication to land in Scoutello.
Setup Review
Before a widget goes live, confirm it belongs to the intended organization and points to the ready event, checkout, or engagement surface. Test the embed on the target website at mobile width, then verify that the resulting order, participant, or CRM record appears where operations expects it. Keep the embed snippet and owning website documented for support.
Troubleshooting
If a widget loads but checkout or submission fails, inspect both the widget configuration and the downstream event/order flow. If orders are created but support cannot find them in the organization, verify whether the embed points at the expected organization and environment.
