Tours in the Guides workspace

Open Guides in the active organization. The creation dialog offers the guide types available to the current role: experience packages, plans, walking guides, indoor tours and fixed tours. Walking-guide and itinerary authoring uses the day-plan workspace; indoor and fixed tours use the tour editor.

Existing outdoor tours remain accessible through Guides and their existing tour URLs.

Create and test an indoor or fixed tour

  1. Open Guides, select Create, and choose an available indoor or fixed tour type.
  2. Enter the name and any assigned-contact information required by the role, then create the guide.
  3. In the tour configuration, maintain the description, images, introduction, closing content and visibility. Keep it in draft while preparing it.
  4. Open the places/stops section. Add a reusable place or create a station in the editor. Put stations in the intended order and review maps, site plans and transitions.
  5. Resolve publication and commercial-readiness warnings, then choose the intended private or public visibility and save.
  6. Use Visit to check the guest view, including language, media and access. This action becomes available after the tour leaves draft visibility.

The current Guides entry is /organizations/:id/guides; existing /organizations/:id/tours/:id links remain valid.

A station cannot be saved despite a selected location

Either a selected saved place or an address containing a street satisfies the station's location requirement. A selected saved place does not need a second manually entered street address.

If saving still fails, use the exact validation message to identify other missing fields. If it still claims that an already selected location is missing, retain the error and attempted steps for support.

Share and reuse content

Use the sharing controls for the generated link and QR code after testing the complete guest journey. Reusable places can be selected from the tour editor rather than recreated.

The free foundation supports paid-guide publishing within its allowance. The Guides module enables freely accessible guide activations and unlimited publishing. See Subscription and Commerce and access.
